We aim to deliver Ready Made orders within 7 days of the order being confirmed and payment received.  Custom orders are generally processed within 21 days as each item is individually handcrafted and production time is taken into consideration.

Orders are shipped using Royal Mail Tracked 24 or equivalent services.

Delivery estimates are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed. Unexpected delays may occasionally occur due to customs processing, carrier issues or seasonal demand.

These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are outside our control.

If your item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

- Your order number

- A description of the issue

- Clear photographs of the product and packaging

We will review the issue and work with you toward an appropriate resolution.

Returned items must:

- Be unused

- Be in original condition

- Include original packaging where possible

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method.

A number of options are available for customers to place an order with Ms Purlington or purchase a ready made piece. Ms Purlington accepts all major credit/debit cards, including Visa, American Express, Mastercard. We also accept Bacs Direct Debit, Clearpay, Klarma, and Revolut Pay.

Due to the bespoke nature of our Made to Order pieces, we do not accept cancellations, returns or exchanges for change of mind once production has commenced.

Each Made to Order item is handcrafted specifically to your selected specifications.

At Ms Purlington, every bag has a story. Some pieces are available as Ready Made and can be dispatched quickly, while others are handcrafted especially for you through our Made to Order service.

Ready Made

Our Ready Made bags are completed pieces that are ready to ship. These bags may have been used for product photography, displays, content creation or customer events. As a result, they may show very minor cosmetic signs of handling or small handcrafted variations. Any such imperfections are carefully assessed and do not affect the beauty, functionality or durability of the bag. Because they have already been created, Ready Made bags are often offered at a reduced price and can be dispatched much sooner than Made to Order pieces.

Made to Order

Our Made to Order service allows you to create a bag that feels uniquely yours. You can select your preferred:

Once your order is placed, materials are sourced specifically for your piece and your bag is handcrafted individually by Ms Purlington. This process takes longer than purchasing a Ready Made bag, but it allows us to embrace a slower, more thoughtful approach to fashion—creating pieces with intention rather than producing unnecessary stock.

How long does Made to Order take?

As each Made to Order bag is handcrafted individually, please allow up to 21 days for production before dispatch.

Everyday Use

While our bags are carefully constructed for everyday wear, we recommend avoiding overloading them. Carrying excessive weight may place unnecessary strain on the structure, lining and hardware, and may affect the bag's shape over time.

Cleaning

Our bags should not be machine washed, tumble dried or submerged in water. For light marks or surface dirt, gently wipe the affected area using a soft, damp cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. For more stubborn stains, use a small amount of mild soap diluted in water and gently blot the area. Avoid vigorous rubbing, harsh cleaning products, bleach or solvents, as these may damage the fibres, lining or hardware. Always allow the bag to dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight.

Protecting the Shape

To help your bag maintain its structure, avoid folding, crushing or placing heavy objects on top of it. When not in use, lightly stuff the interior with acid-free tissue paper or clean soft fabric to help preserve its shape.

Storage

Store your bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity and heat sources. For best results, keep your bag in a dust bag or a breathable fabric cover when not in use.

Hardware Care

The metal hardware, logo and keychain are designed to complement your bag beautifully. To maintain their finish, avoid contact with perfumes, cosmetics, cleaning products and excessive moisture. If required, gently polish hardware using a soft, dry cloth.
